Chapter One
How a chance meeting on a windy quay in Tallinn rearranged two lives forever.
It started, as the best stories do, with a missed tram. Carmen had been chasing the last light of a magazine assignment. Kerbert had been chasing nothing in particular — except, perhaps, a quiet weekend away from the studio. They ended up sharing a coffee, a sunset, and a slow walk through the old town that neither of them really wanted to end.
A handful of years, a few apartments, two cities, and one very patient cat later, they’re standing where it all began — between the limestone walls of the old town and the cool wind off the harbour.
On the tenth of October, with the people they love most, they’ll say yes — again, and forever.
